FEBRUARY HALF-TERM
and
EASTER HOLIDAY COURSES
2026 DATES
February Half-Term
Sunday 15th February - Saturday 21st February
Travel options are fairly limited at this time of year. Students are expected to arrive on the Gatwick - Rennes Easyjet flight on Sunday afternoon, departing 13.55, and return on the following Saturday on the Easyjet flight from Rennes to Gatwick, arriving 09.45. Early bookers will find cheap flights! The alternative train route is considerably more expensive, involving a change in stations in Paris.
Easter
Course 1 : Sunday 29th March - Saturday 4th April
Course 2 : Sunday 5th April - Saturday 11th April
It is helpful if all students can be assembled at Le Grand Osier in the morning of the Sunday at the beginning of their chosen course. This way we can crack on with teaching straight away!
For these Easter courses, we strongly recommend the Brittany Ferries crossing from Portsmouth - Saint Malo, travelling overnight (Saturday evening departure) to Saint Malo and arriving early on Sunday morning. The return crossing the following Saturday leaves Saint Malo at 1030 and arrives in Portsmouth at 1820.
In the past, schools have been very understanding if students have had to miss a few days at the end of the Lent Term or at the beginning of the Summer Term in order to come on a course with us.
2026 COURSE FEES
The all-inclusive fee for this course is £1,360. We do not charge VAT!
A 25% deposit of £340 will be payable and the balance of £1,020 at the beginning of the course. If you cancel your booking, we shall refund your deposit only if we manage to fill the cancelled place.
There are no hidden “extras” while the students are at Le Grand Osier. The week’s price includes:
- All tuition in class,
- All individual tuition,

- All teaching materials,
- All projects and expeditions, including entry fees to exhibitions, concerts and other events,

The above schedule is only a general outline. Projects and visits will change according to the time of year and local circumstances.
Dinners at Le Grand Osier are followed by various games, songs or puzzles. We encourage our students to bring portable musical instruments; we have a piano, an electronic keyboard, a pedal organ and several guitars, and students who play any of these instruments are welcome to bring their sheet music and practise, or even entertain us.
At the end of the course, a course journal is written and sent to each student, his/her parents, and his/her teachers at school, together with an account on the progress he/she made during the week.
“The informal atmosphere at Le Grand Osier
is perfect for improving one’s French; the mix of work and play is just right.”

At the end of each course, a course journal is written and sent to each student, each student’s parents, and each student’s teachers at school, together with an account on the progress each student made during the week.

“She has bubbled wtih confidence since her return and regaled us with endless anecdotes – which we are now able to put into chronological
order due to the ‘journal’”. |
